Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get my puppy?
We prefer that you come to our home to pick up your puppy. If the timing is right for our family we are willing to drive a few hours to meet you. Also, we have met people at the Denver, CO airport before and they have flown back with their puppy.
Is there a charge for you to deliver the puppy to me?
If you can come to our farm or meet us within two hours of our farm there is no charge. If we have to drive more than two hours we will discuss if that is an option and what the cost would be.
What documents and other things will you bring with the puppy?
Purchase Agreement/Health Guarantee.
AKC Registration Papers.
Microchip Registration Papers (your puppy will be microchipped at no extra cost).
Veterinarian Health Certificate.
Vaccination Record.
A zip lock bag of the food your puppy has been on.
A towel that the mom and puppies have been sleeping on.
What should I have ready for my new puppy?
Bring a leash. We will have a collar that fits the puppy when you pick him/her up.
Bowls with water and food (large breed puppy food of your choice).
Pet crate for travel (also helpful for potty training and sleep training).
Paper towels/cloth towels for messes while traveling.
Toys for chewing and playing.
NuVet: to order call 1-800-474-7044 and use order code 88470. Our collies receive this vitamin and we highly recommend it for the life time of your puppy.
What should I do when I get my puppy home?
When you bring your puppy home it will most likely be very tired from the long day of travel and from the big transition of going from one home to the other. Make sure that your puppy is eating, drinking, pooping, and peeing. If your puppy has diarrhea it may take a few days for this to pass due to the stress of going to a new home.
We ask that you set up an appointment with your veterinarian of choice for your health check up to fulfill your side of the Purchase Agreement. This must be done within 72 hours of your receiving your puppy unless otherwise stated.
We really do appreciate it if you let us know how your puppy checked out with the vet! :)
How often do you send pictures after I have sent the deposit?
I love sending pictures so that you can see how much your puppy changes in just a week of time! I try to send pictures and the occasional video every other week or more often if my schedule allows. Between farming, children, homeschooling, and raising your sweet little bundle...it can be VERY BUSY!
At what age do you let puppies go to their new homes?
No earlier than 8 weeks.
Do you have a waiting list?
We do have a waiting list. Please contact us to see where you would be on the waiting list. The order of deposits we receive is the order you get to pick your puppy. The first person to make a deposit gets first pick of the litter.
Do you have references?
Yes, I have past puppy buyers who would gladly talk with you about purchasing a puppy from us. Also, you can read a few here .
